Our undergraduate curriculum instills core business knowledge, as well as perspectives that embrace the global economy, sustainable and socially responsible decision-making, and interdisciplinary perspectives in science, technology, mathematics, humanities and entrepreneurship.
Degrees
To receive an undergraduate degree, students at UMass Amherst must complete a total of 120 credits of coursework designed to meet general education and major-specific curriculum requirements.
Isenberg School of Management offers 2 undergraduate degrees.
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Major options: accounting, finance, marketing, management, or operations & information management
- Bachelor of Science (BS) - Major option: hospitality & tourism management
In addition to the courses required for their major field of study, all Isenberg students must take a set of core business courses in topics like accounting, corporate finance, marketing fundamentals, business information systems, and management communications. Specific course requirements are dependent on the degree type of the student's major field of study.

You can find out what course materials will be required by looking at your course in SPIRE, either log in or select Search classes/Catalog to the right of the SPIRE log in information, search for your class by term, subject and mode of instruction and select the section, scroll down to Textbook/Other materials.
What courses can I transfer to UMass?
As a general guide, a course will transfer if:

- The course was offered at a school that has regional academic accreditation at the post-secondary level (consult the other school’s catalog), and was comparable in content and scope to a course offered at UMass Amherst (Check for UMA course descriptions)
- You passed the course with a minimum grade of C-
Courses will generally not transfer if it was:
- Taught by a school which does not have regional academic accreditation at the post-secondary level
- A remedial or development course (pre-100 level, ESL, basic math, pre-composition, etc.)
- A skills-oriented course (Lotus 1-2-3, study skills, career development, word processing, business communication, sales, etc.)
- A vocational course (secretarial, lab technology, real estate, electronics, paralegal, medical assistant, radiology, etc.)
- An internship, co-op, field experiences or practicum sponsored by another school
- A non-credit course
- Credited with Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
- A first year/college prep course
