With a quarter century of tax experience in public accounting and industry, and in domestic and international taxation, Dan Newton ’90—this year’s Accounting Alumnus of the Year—has continuously extended his horizons.
During the fall 2019 semester, six faculty members presented “30,000-foot overviews” of their research projects to their Isenberg colleagues in the spirit of promoting collegiality and cross-departmental collaboration.
The FBI has announced that accounting graduate Jeffrey Sallet ’93 will oversee its finances, facilities, and logistics activities in his new role as associate executive assistant director of its Finance and Facilities Division.

Dennis Hanno ‘90PhD, who has been president of Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., since 2014, learned about more than accounting during his time at Isenberg, where he later served as a faculty member and undergraduate dean: “Isenberg opened so many doors and opportunities for me.”
In February, the first installment of the Isenberg Faculty Speakers Series featured two assistant professors, Matt Katz from Sport Management and Andrew Kitto from Accounting, offering “30-000-foot overviews” of their research for an audience of their colleagues.
